The full FAQNo. It's not possible to have a hardwood floor that's completely flat. Each piece of hardwood flooring sands differently depending on its grain type, plain or quartered.
Because your hardwood floors are being finished in your home, it's impossible to achieve a completely clean environment while the work is happening. There will be some dust that falls onto the freshly applied finish.
Wood is a natural product and it varies from piece to piece. Expect grain and color variations consistent with the hardwood species and grade you select.
Hardwood can be at risk of indentations, for example from shoe heels. The finish we apply won't prevent dents.
Wood absorbs and releases moisture, so it expands and contracts, which can result in cracks between some of the individual pieces. Doors and cabinetry contain between one and ten pieces of wood. Your floor is fabricated right in your own home with between 300 to 1000 unique pieces of wood, so you end up with a one-of-a-kind custom floor that can never be duplicated.
